Only 14 days away from Christmas, is everyone done with all their shopping? I haven’t really started so I should get probably get going soon. Lol. It’s going to be another busy week for us as it’s the girls last week of school before their winter break so we have a lot to pack in which I why I picked a lot of crockpot and Instant Pot recipes for easy cooking and the temperatures are going to drop so that makes it even easier as I can make soups, chili’s and stews to get us by. I can’t believe how fast Thanksgiving is coming, we are less than two weeks away which is so exciting.  I’m already working on my Thanksgiving meal plan for the week and the day off so I know what I’m making and what I can use with all our leftovers. So weeks meal plan was actually very easy to plan, I was looking for a specific soup recipe in one of my Whole30 cookbooks and then started looking through the cookbook and found a bunch of old yummy recipes I have made before that would be perfect to prepare and eat this week.  I’m using two of my favorite Whole30 cookbooks Slow Cooker and Fast and Easy, I will share pictures of my meals in my Facebook group throughout the week.  There is a lot of germs and sickness going around please make sure you all up your winter vitamins and keep those immune systems healthy.  Hope everyone has a safe happy and healthy week!

Finally so cold weather is on it’s way, we had a beautiful overcast and rainy day yesterday and the temperature is showing to drop this week which will be so nice. I’m looking forward to making some soups this week and using my Crockpot for some easy meals.  I love being able to put on long sleeves, drinking hot coffee that gets cold in a few minutes and having to reheat every 10 minutes to get hot again. First week of October is down, it was a crazy busy week for our family but this time of year is always crazy for us.  It’s going to be another busy week with some warmer temperatures which is a bummer as we enjoyed last weeks cooler weather for sure.  I have lots of yummy recipes for this week just hoping to get them all cooked as we have plans each day in the evenings which means I will be cooking dinner around 3pm, we just may be eating reheated dinners all week. Lol The nice part when ordering groceries this week it was rather inexpensive compared to what we normally buy which is a good thing.  Looking forward to getting through this week to have cooler weather right around the corner, I can’t wait to make soups, stews and chili’s.  Hope everyone stay’s happy and healthy this week!  Make sure you and your family are staying hydrated and increasing those immunity vitamins.

I can't even believe that we are in October already, this year is flying by fast for us. I absolutely love this weather, waking up to cooler mornings and seeing all the fall colors around everyone's houses is wonderful. It's still warm during the day's so I'm not ready to make too many fall dishes yet until it gets a little colder out. This week's meal plan is all Paleo recipes thanks to Paleo Running Momma website, I will be making a bunch of white and brown rice and Rolled Oats Protein Balls for my daughters who need the extra carbs due to their sports schedules which I have included those recipes under the Snacks and Sweet Treats. It’s time to go back to the foods the make me feel good and help provide me good gut health.  I have been really struggling with my stomach lately and after talking with my doctor I need to shift my focus back to the nutritional foods that heal my body and not cause so much inflammation.  I know my body pretty well at this point and I definitely know my trigger foods as to what makes me feel good and what doesn’t, there are some gray area foods that I’m sure not sure about however I will revisit those foods once I get my gut back into balance.  This weeks food menu I created using Real Simple Good website which are gluten-free and dairy free recipes which will help get me back on track to the foods I love. I have tried most of these recipes but did add a few new ones.  Remember to eat what makes you feel good, both for your gut and body.  What we think is good and healthy doesn’t always mean our bodies will accept it, we as individuals need to figure out what works for each of us, we must be patient and follow our own journey’s. We have a pretty full menu this week, lots to prep, cook and enjoy.  With the peak of the summer I though it was best to find easy salad recipes and grilled chicken recipes that way I don’t have to use my oven and warm up the house.  I also added in some recipes to help with balance for my daughter who is vegetarian but have the flexibility of adding cooked chicken for extra protein for us. School is finally done and now we can enjoy our summer! This week I was looking for easy recipes as we have a busy week in the afternoons and evenings, I’m also trying to lower my carbs for the next few weeks to get us ready for my cousin’s wedding coming up but I’m still wanting to do Paleo too.  I found some awesome recipes on a website called Paleo Leap who has lots of great Paleo and Keto recipes, I have used this website before and and have really enjoyed a lot of her recipes so I created this weeks meal plan using some new recipes to try out. Excited for a week of catching up on house stuff, cleaning and get back to somewhat of a normal schedule plus lots of healthy cooking to keep us all on a good eating path. It’s been a few weeks since I have actually done some meal planning, just a crazy time of year with school coming to an end and summer fast approaching, we are all pretty much ready for it to be done so we can relax and get some sleep. We have some cooler weather coming in as well which helps with meal planning as I have been wanting to use my Instant Pot for quick meals but always too hot in the summer.  I decided to use some of my cookbooks this week, Well Fed 2, Paleo in 28 Days, Paleo Cooking with your Instant Pot and Paleo Baking at Home.  I will be sharing all my ingredient and meal pictures in my Facebook group, so if you are interested to see how the meals coming out please send me an invite to the group and check out what I’m making. We have another busy week with lots of things going on after school so I was looking for quick recipes that take no time to prep and cook to make my life easier. I found a bunch of yummy recipes on Real Simple Good’s website, most of this weeks meal plan I have made but it’s been a while so it was time to go back to our favorites.  Even though they are Paleo recipes you can earlier add grains like steamed brown rice or quinoa or you can keep it simple and just enjoy it with cauliflower rice. The key this week for me is to make all of our snacks and sweet treats to help with packing lunches and healthy things for us to eat while running from one activity to another. Hope everyone has a very happy and healthy week, the weather outside has been beautiful go out and enjoy it before it gets too hot.

I have another full week of workouts at Orangetheory Fitness which means I need to make sure I’m getting in enough protein, carbs and fat before and after my workouts.  I’m excited for this weeks meal plan as I’m using all recipes from one of my favorite clean eating websites called Clean Food Crush.  Some of the recipes are old and some are new, it will be nice to have a great balance of all different types of food groups this week.  I’m going to really focus on my water intake as well as that will be super important for recovery for me this week.  Hope everyone has a safe and healthy week!!!
